(bleached trees again)

I am planning to look for more bottlebrush trees after Christmas and dye them a color or two.
The pearls and silver balls are from my husband's late grandmother.
They were leftover from bells she used to make.
So glad to use a few on these trees.
I think she would like them.

  1. I'm sure she would! One of the houses we toured had a framed CHristmas tree made of vintage jewelry, some of which had been in their family. I was fascinated and came home determined to create one also. The jewelry had been hot-glued onto a velvet like material. I took a picture with the hostess' permission.

  2. I love the addition of the pearls and silver beads to your trees, and it's especially wonderful that they were from a grandmother. Sweet.

  3. What a lovely way to use vintage pearls and beads. I have two shapes of pearls left from making my wedding gown. I think I'll use some of them on bottle brush trees next year. Thank you for the inspiration! Wishing you a Happy New Year, my friend.

    1. Good idea, Adrienne! I am thinking of taking all the lace off my wedding dress and using it to make some sort of keepsake for each of my granddaughters.
