Kellie~ I found the pattern online a few years ago. The pattern was for a bishop that is smocked all the way around the neck. I just do the front instead and assemble the dress the same way.
Dawn, This is exquisite. I learned the basics of smocking years ago and decided it would have to wait until I was a grandma. I AM a grandma now and I'm so inspired to re-learn. How blessed little Summer Meadow is to have what will be an heirloom.
Look around You Tube for video tutorials. May influence you one way or another regarding the pursuit of this embroidery skill.There are also books available at your library and online. Amazon should have them listed. Thanks for your comment.
