(still up)

Jessica is still enjoying her Christmas decorations.
She received this adorable pink glittered church from a co-worker this year.
She loved it.
So did I.
You know.
The glitter thing.
:)

This small spoon is one of a collection that belonged to my beloved Aunt Lucy.
She was a single teacher who collected spoons in her summer travels.
The collection has been packed away for a few years.
I decided that they would be perfect to hang on Jessica's tabletop tree, to be brought out each year to display.
I am thinking that Lucy would approve.

It is a beautiful, sunny, winter day outside.
The forecast is not calling for snow until late next week.
Seems odd to have temperatures that are 10-15 degrees above normal.
Not complaining.
Just sayin'.

  1. Love the spoon... I collected them for years and now they are in the attic. Perhaps next year I will pull out a few special ones for the tree... great idea!

  2. What a great idea, to hang a spoon! I have my grandmother's spoon collection which has morphed into my own over the years. Great memories there from places and times long gone. God uses so many different things in each life, and allows such precious overlap at times to show His Grace. I'm sure Lucy would approve!
No snow here. Temps are all over the map. The poor geese are terribly confused; so are we :)

  3. No snow here in MT. It's been lovely, warm weather. I know it will change.

Great idea to hang the spoons.

  4. No snow here in Utah either. It has been nice but I am afraid of the water condition this spring.
