(reveal)

Inspired by this
(click on workshops)
and this
!!!

With the many stitched hearts floating around blogland, I thought it appropriate to make my own version of a Sailor's Valentine to mark forty years of marriage this coming June 16th.
Of course, this one is not made from a variety of shells artfully arranged under glass as a true Sailor Valentine would be.
It's just a heart.
A simple heart stitched with vintage laces, ribbons and beads on a leftover piece of drop cloth material...plus an old key.

Thanks are due to Pam, Charlotte and Rebecca for the inspiration.

  8. Beautiful, Dawn! Your work is always inspiring.

I've been wanting to share a blog with you. I found a book at our library of Mother Goose stitched in beautiful, detailed pictures. I enjoyed it so much that I looked online to see if she had more books and to learn more about her, and discovered her blog. I immedietly thought of you and that you would probably like to see her work, too.
