A few years ago, I had my engagement ring reset.

The jeweler mentioned that I could have the original setting made into a pinky ring.

I passed on the option then, but would always notice the sad little setting in my jewelry box.

This year for Christmas, I told the hubs that all I really wanted was a pinky ring made from the setting that he gave me 40 years ago.

I really love it.

Purely sentimental.

Memories are attached to that simple band of gold.
