Along with all the other ornaments on our tree is a set of twenty six names of Jesus, corresponding with the letters of the alphabet. This one, of course, is for the letter H..These are a reminder to our family of the amazing attributes of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ... of the scriptures that mention the different names... and that He is the reason for this wonderful season we celebrate together.

edited to add:
My set is made from painted wood with wire hangers...but I have made sets of these from paper...choosing a great font from the net and double or triple matting them in coordinating colors. One of our children loves the Celtic look..so I did a set using an appropriate font...They have them displayed on a garland on their stairway. It is a very do-able project using your computer. To find a list of the names of Jesus, just do a search and you will find sites that have more than enough names to choose from...for your own unique set.
...later...
Another excellent and creative idea!

Hi, my daughter is very interested in the names of Jesus in all 26 letters of the alphabet, and we cannot find them all. Can you please help us? Thanks! Lisa
ReplyDelete@Lisa: I found a website with 100 biblical names of Jesus..

You could include the passage of scripture on the back.
